ABOUT US

Starting back in 2009, the Recognise concept was created  to inform people on how to make ethically conscious and educated decisions on where and how they bought clothes, cars holidays and beyond. It had become very apparent to me that change was necessary and that it would be totally unreasonable to expect the world to simply stop consuming. The best way forward to help consumers was to raise awareness of the companies working towards a better, greener and more eco-friendly future. Originally in the form of a magazine, it was designed to cover all aspects of life and where we spend the majority of our money, tailored for both men and women. Essentially a guide to a conscious life.

Fast forward to 2021, recognise Life is a now a digital guide for the socially conscious and aware individual. We are driven by a belief that the consumer can change the way industry, manufacturers, retail and the service industries treat both society and the planet. Covering a plethora of topics from the day-to-day simplicities of where you buy your groceries, through to where eat out or  holiday.

Recognise Life will also aim to bring you news and events that the main stream media may not cover, as we believe  our demographic deserves to know what is really affecting the way we live and not tabloid-led click bait like who Kim and Kanye are now sleeping with.

Recognise Life aims to become a movement and a community that won’t just Make a point, but Make a change, Make a difference. Come and join us.

Our Mission

We aim to bring you information that should not only change your mind, but also change the consumer industry. This is not just a guide to attack those in the industry that are not trying to do their best in making the world a fairer place for people of all colour or background.

With secret shoppers sent to the multiple venues and establishments we cover, we aim to bring a substantial guide to people across all ethnic backgrounds on just how well or badly they are likely to be treated there, helping those individuals consider only spending their money where they as a person are valued and not just their money. This also benefits the more conscious and commendable Caucasians that believe in equality and fairness across all cultures, also spending their hard earned money with people that are likeminded, no matter what skin colour they have.

We aim to highlight everyday people, celebrities and influential leaders of industry who’s views and actions lead to shaping a better world to live in. We will cover brands who are determined to lower their carbon footprint or support environmental causes and will consider both fair trade and sustainability as a priority.
